California Airways is the San Francisco Bay Area's oldest flight school and flying club. Over the past 53 years, California Airways taught thousands of pilots how to fly. Offering affordable flight training and aircraft rental for pilots of all experience levels, California Airways offers training from student pilot through ATP ratings. The Airline Pilot Programs take a student from zero flight time through the commercial single and multi-engine certificates, plus all three flight instructor ratings.
California Airways is a FAA-approved Part 141 flight school, and sponsors international students for the M-1 Student visa subject to availability. Moreover, California Airways offers FAA computerized testing and FAA-approved flight simulators that can significantly reduce the cost of flight training.
For renter pilots, a diverse fleet of well-maintained aircraft is available for use. Moreover, California Airways offers unique children's birthday parties where each participant gets to sit in the cockpit of an actual aircraft, land on an aircraft carrier in our flight simulator, and do much more!
Unlike most flying clubs, California Airways does not charge an initiation fee, which can be as high as $300 for some clubs, and only charges members for monthly dues in the months that they fly. Other clubs charge dues every month, even if members do not fly that month.
Moreover, although at the present time we do not have a complex aircraft or multi-engine, we are able to refer to other schools in the same area to obtain those ratings.
