This 2007 Diamond Star DA40 features a G1000 platform with integrated Garmin GFC700 autopilot complete with Flight Director. It has been upgraded with a Hartzell composite prop for smoother operation, better climb performance, lighter weight, and increased TAS. As of late March 2015, it will also feature a PowerFlow tuned exhaust, resulting in an additional 3-5 knots of TAS, for a total TAS of approximately 145 knots. This DA40 has been upgraded with many of the features of the DA40XL without the weight penalties of the XL. Therefore, it boasts a 921 lb useful load (see POH). Outfitted with extended range 50 gallon tanks, this fuel efficient (average 18 mpg, or approximately 8-9 gph) Diamond Star is a great choice for cross country flights.

The Diamond DA40 Diamond Star is an Austrian four-seat, single engine, light aircraft constructed from composite materials. Built in both Austria and Canada, it was developed as a four-seat version of the earlier DA20 by Diamond Aircraft Industries.
